Mobile IV therapy brings hospital-grade IV hydration, medication, and recovery support directly to your location — no clinic visit, no waiting room, no commute. A licensed nurse arrives at your home, hotel, high-rise, or office and administers the IV over about 30–45 minutes while you relax. IV MD Chicago serves all of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
How is IV therapy different from just drinking water?

When you drink water, fluids absorb slowly through your digestive system — and if you're nauseous, you may not be able to keep anything down at all. IV therapy delivers fluids, electrolytes, and medication directly into your bloodstream, bypassing digestion entirely for near-immediate relief. Most clients feel noticeably better before the bag is even finished.

Is IV Therapy good for hangovers?

Yes — it's one of the most common reasons people book with us. Hangovers cause dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, nausea, and inflammation all at the same time. Our IV formula addresses all four simultaneously: saline rehydrates, Zofran stops the nausea, and Toradol handles the headache and body aches. Most clients feel significantly better within 30–45 minutes.

is it safe?
Yes. Every treatment is administered by a licensed nurse or nurse practitioner under the direct supervision of Dr. Kevin Boubouleix, M.D., a board-certified physician. Our IV formula uses only three clinically validated medications — the same ones used in hospital and emergency settings. Every client completes a medical intake form before treatment to confirm eligibility and screen for contraindications.
Who administers the IV?
A licensed registered nurse (RN) or nurse practitioner (NP) comes to your location. All providers on our team carry active Illinois licenses and bring real clinical experience — not just a certification course. Every appointment is overseen by our medical director, Dr. Kevin Boubouleix, M.D.
Is everyone eligible for IV therapy?
Most healthy adults are eligible. However, IV therapy may not be appropriate for individuals with certain kidney conditions, heart conditions, or specific medication interactions. That's exactly why we require a medical intake form before every appointment — our team reviews your history to confirm it's safe to proceed. You must be 18 or older to book independently. If you have concerns, reach out before booking and our team is happy to advise.
Pricing & Booking
How much does it cost?

$275 per IV bag — flat rate, no surprises. A $150 deposit is required at booking and is applied directly to your final balance. The remaining balance is automatically charged the morning of your appointment for a fully cashless experience.
can i book for a group?

Absolutely. We regularly serve groups — bachelorette party recovery, post-event refreshes, or just a few friends who had a big night. The $150 deposit covers the appointment as a whole regardless of group size, and pricing is $275 per IV bag administered. Just let us know your group size when you inquire so we can staff accordingly.
can i book for someone else?

Yes. Just make sure the person receiving the IV is 18 or older, knows we're coming, and completes their own medical intake form before the appointment. We'll handle everything else.
How do i book?

Submit your appointment request through our online form with your preferred date, time, location, and group size — or book directly from our availability calendar for 1–3 people. A member of our team will confirm your appointment by call or text, send your deposit link, and walk you through next steps.

how do i prepare?

Not much is needed. We recommend drinking some water beforehand if you're able to, having a light snack if your stomach allows, and completing your medical intake form before your nurse arrives — this is required before treatment can begin. Wear comfortable clothing with easy sleeve access to your arm. That's it.
how long does the appointment take

The IV infusion itself takes approximately 30–45 minutes. With setup and cleanup, you can expect the full visit to be around 55 minutes total. You don't need to do anything — just relax.
Not at all. Feel free to have a friend, partner, or roommate with you. We're medical professionals, but we completely understand wanting company around. The more the merrier — and if they want an IV too, we can take care of that.

Following treatment, you'll receive aftercare instructions and direct contact information for any follow-up questions. We're available if anything comes up — you're not on your own after the nurse leaves.
